Who we are
Deluxe Moon Pro is provided by Lifeware Solutions (“we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled by the app, its widgets and Apple Watch companion, and when you contact us.
You can use the app without creating a Lifeware Solutions account. The app’s astronomical calculations run on your device. Optional services, including iCloud, place lookup, purchases and external AI, involve the providers described in this policy.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Meta’s Facebook SDK for analytics and advertising measurement, as explained below. Available features differ by app version and device; the feature-specific descriptions apply when those features are available and you use them.
The information handled by the app
- Observing places
- Your selected coordinates, place names, time zones and saved locations are used to calculate local Sun and Moon events and remember your settings.
- Birth profiles
- Names or nicknames, birth dates and times, birthplaces and time-zone offsets you enter are stored on the device to create personal charts, forecasts and compatibility calculations. Only enter another person’s information when you have permission to do so.
- Journal & reminders
- Notes, intentions, ratings, tags, linked events, dates and reminder details are saved on the device. Notes may include the calculated sky context for an entry. Journal data can sync through your private iCloud database when iCloud is available.
- Preferences
- Appearance, calculation options, shortcuts, saved window directions and alert settings are retained to make the app work as you choose. Relevant settings, including the selected observing place, are shared with the app’s widgets and your paired Apple Watch.
- Purchases
- Apple processes payments. The app reads purchase and subscription information, such as product identifiers, transaction status and expiry, to provide access and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details.
- App activity & device data
- Analytics and advertising services receive automatically collected app events, such as launches, sessions and engagement, along with app and device information and identifiers. Eligible purchase events may also be reported. Section 05 explains the services, purposes and tracking controls.
- Support messages
- If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you send. The app’s Contact us action prepares a message with the app and operating-system versions to help us troubleshoot.
Optional access, for specific features
You can change permissions in iOS or iPadOS Settings. Declining a permission limits the related feature; it does not prevent you from using the app’s other available tools.
Location
With permission, the app requests your location while you use it to calculate local events and determine the time zone. It does not continuously track your movement. You can instead choose a saved place or enter coordinates. Searching for a place or resolving coordinates into a name or time zone uses Apple’s map services and sends the relevant query or coordinates to Apple.
Calendar
With Calendar access, the app lists writable calendars, adds the events and alarms you select, and checks events in the selected time range to avoid duplicates. These operations use the device’s Calendar services. Events added to a synced calendar are also handled by that calendar’s provider.
Camera & motion
The window-aiming feature uses a live camera view and motion sensors to help you set viewing directions. It does not take or keep a camera picture. The direction and bounds you save are retained for your window calculations.
Photos & notifications
Photo-library access is used when you choose to save a generated Moon picture. Notifications deliver the event or journal reminders you enable. Reminder text may appear on your Lock Screen, depending on your system notification settings.
iCloud, AI & services you open
iCloud and backups
Journal sync uses Apple’s CloudKit service and your private iCloud database. Local app data may also be included in device backups according to your Apple settings. Lifeware Solutions does not operate a separate journal account or journal server. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for Apple’s handling of its services.
Local AI and Ask ChatGPT are different
Ask AI and the local summary use Apple’s on-device model. The app does not send those prompts or conversations to an external AI service. The local chat is not saved as a transcript; closing it clears the conversation.
Ask ChatGPT opens an external service with a prepared prompt. Choosing one of those actions sends calculated chart information, including the natal-chart date and time, positions, houses, transits, forecast time and your chosen topic, to ChatGPT through a link. That link may also appear in browser history. Information you send there is handled under OpenAI’s Privacy Policy and your ChatGPT settings. Avoid this feature if you do not want that chart information sent outside the app.
External maps, websites and sharing
Opening an external sky map or forecast may include your selected coordinates in the destination link. Other reference, video and social links open the named service. A share action sends the content you select to the app or recipient you choose. Those providers handle the resulting information under their own policies.
Google Analytics, Facebook & your tracking choice
Deluxe Moon Pro uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Meta’s Facebook SDK. Both services initialize when the app launches. They help us understand app use and how people discover the app through advertising. You do not need to sign in to Facebook or Google to use Deluxe Moon Pro.
Google Analytics for Firebase
Google Analytics helps us understand which features people use, assess engagement and improve the app. It automatically collects events such as first opening the app, sessions, screen views, engagement and app updates. Supported purchase and subscription events may also be recorded. Event data can include timestamps, app version, device model, operating system, language, app-instance identifiers and Apple’s identifier for vendor.
Our Google Analytics configuration does not include support for Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA). This does not make all analytics anonymous: other identifiers can distinguish an app installation or device. Network requests also expose an IP address to the receiving service, which Google can use to derive approximate location. We do not send your precise observing coordinates as a custom Google Analytics event parameter.
Read Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Firebase privacy information for details about Google’s processing.
Facebook SDK and advertising measurement
Facebook automatic app-event logging and advertising-identifier collection are enabled in the app’s configuration. Meta receives activation and session activity used to measure installs and app use, together with event times, app and device information, network information such as IP address, identifiers and SDK diagnostics. Automatic purchase or subscription events may also be reported where supported and enabled by the SDK and Meta configuration.
We use this information to attribute app installs and activity to advertising, assess campaign results and improve how we reach people interested in Deluxe Moon Pro. Meta may associate event information with information it holds, including a Facebook or Instagram account, for measurement and advertising under its Privacy Policy, subject to applicable permissions and settings. The SDK can access the IDFA only when Apple’s tracking permission allows it.
Personal records and event data
We do not add journal text, personal ratings, birth-profile fields, chart readings, precise observing coordinates, Calendar contents or camera images as custom analytics or advertising event parameters. Usage events may indicate that a screen or feature was used; they are different from the personal records you enter into that feature.
Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt lets you allow tracking or ask the app not to track. Review or change your choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining tracking limits cross-app tracking and prevents access to the IDFA. It does not disable all analytics: SDK initialization and measurement that does not require tracking permission can continue.
Declining tracking does not remove access to purchased features. The app does not currently offer a separate switch to turn off Google Analytics or all app events sent through the Facebook SDK. Contact us using the details below to exercise any applicable rights to object, withdraw consent or request deletion. A change to tracking permission does not itself delete events already received by a provider.
Why information is used
Information is used to provide the features you request, calculate results for the selected place and moment, save your preferences and records, sync your journal, manage purchase access and respond to support requests. Analytics helps us understand use and improve the app. Advertising measurement helps us assess and improve campaigns.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information necessary to provide the service you request on that basis. We rely on consent for tracking and other processing where consent is required. Where permitted, our legitimate interests in improving the app, measuring campaigns, providing support, securing services and resolving faults may provide a basis, subject to your rights. We retain records required to meet legal obligations. Apple’s tracking permission is a specific system control and does not replace any additional consent required by applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
How long information stays
Local records: saved profiles, places, notes and preferences remain until you edit or delete them or remove the relevant app data. Delete notes and profiles in the app when you want to remove particular records. Offloading an app can preserve its data.
Synced and exported copies: journal deletions can sync through iCloud when connected. Deleting the app alone may not delete iCloud data, device backups, exported Calendar events, saved pictures or content already shared elsewhere. Manage those copies in iCloud, Calendar, Photos or the receiving service.
Local AI: a chat lasts for the open conversation; local summaries may be cached for the app session. Content copied or shared elsewhere remains in that destination until removed there.
Analytics and advertising: retention depends on the type of data, our service settings and the provider’s applicable retention rules. We retain information for as long as needed for usage analysis, campaign measurement, troubleshooting and applicable legal obligations. Aggregated reports may be retained separately from individual event records. Contact us for the retention period applicable to your request or to request deletion. Removing the app or declining tracking does not by itself erase data already received by Google or Meta.
Support: we keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request, follow up on the issue and meet relevant legal or recordkeeping obligations. You can request deletion of information we hold. We will explain any information we must retain and why.
Apple and other independent providers also apply their own retention rules to information they process for their own purposes. No system can promise absolute security; use your device passcode and review what appears in widgets and notification previews.
Your choices & privacy rights
- Choose a location manually instead of granting location access.
- Review the app’s Location, Calendar, Camera, Photos and notification permissions in system Settings.
- Manage iCloud availability and backups through your Apple Account settings.
- Use the local AI feature, or leave AI unused, if you do not want to share a chart with an external service.
- Review the tracking choice under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. This controls tracking permission and advertising-identifier access; it does not switch off all analytics.
- Edit or delete saved records in the app, and manage exported copies in their destination.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising uses. You may also have a right to complain to your local data-protection authority. These rights depend on the applicable law and the information concerned.
To make a request about information we hold, contact us below. Describe the request and the feature involved; do not send sensitive journal or birth details unless they are necessary. We may need proportionate information to verify the request. We cannot directly retrieve a journal stored only on your device or in your private iCloud database, but we can help explain the available controls.
Children’s privacy
Parents and guardians should help children choose permissions and review information entered into profiles, journals or external services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate permission, please contact us so we can investigate and address it. If your concern involves analytics or advertising data, include the app version and relevant device information so we can investigate without asking for unnecessary personal details.
